Acceptable Use Policy

  1. SimplePC dial-up accounts are single user accounts. Only one computer may be logged into SimplePC at any given time, under a given username. Multiple concurrent logins are strictly prohibited.
  2. Using a personal account for high volume or commercial use is prohibited. The service is intended for periodic, active use of email, newsgroups, file transfers, Internet chat, games, and browsing the World Wide Web. Users may stay connected so long as they are actively using that connection for the above purposes.
  3. SimplePC customers are allowed an unlimited number of Internet sessions. There is a 20 minute idle time disconnect built into our system. Using any automatic process to keep your connection to SimplePC alive is prohibited. This includes but is not limited to automatic email checking, pinging software or any other process that prevents disconnection after the specified idle time. Clients not paying for dedicated Internet access should not stay connected to our service unless they are actively using their computer.
  4. SimplePC will not be responsible for any telephone charges you may incur while using our system. It is your responsibility to ensure that the phone number for our service is a local call to you.
  5. Email SPAM is strictly prohibited. SPAM is the sending of any bulk, unsolicited email. Any violation of this rule will be grounds for immediate termination of services
  6. Use of the Service for any purpose expressly prohibited by law - any such use will be grounds for immediate termination of services.
  7. Accounts that are paid monthly are always due on the first of the month. Payments must be received by close of business on the tenth of the month. Any accounts with open balances after this date will be subject to disconnection.
    1. Example: If our office is closed on the 3rd - 5th, your payment must be received by the 2nd at 6:00PM.
  8. Internet access and setup fees are non-refundable.
  9. Anyone who is responsible for having our domain or any of our hostnames or IP addresses banned from any site (or servers, such as IRC), will be held liable for Interference with our Right to Contract.
  10. SimplePC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, and to disable any account, at any time, without prior notice.
  11. SimplePC makes no guarantee of service pricing. Unless otherwise stated, customers commit to an annual term for internet services. If pricing changes occur, you will be notified via your SimplePC-provided e-mail account 30 days prior.
  12. Web hosting accounts not paid in full cannot be closed, and will continue to accrue pre-agreed monthly charges until paid in full. In addition, if a webhosting customer fails to pay for the service for a period of 90 days, then the customer forfeits all rights to the domain name hosted on our servers and agrees that we may seize the domain name ownership and transfer same to us without any notification to the Web hosting customer, in lieu of payment of the past due amount. A Web hosting customer agrees that an implied lien is placed on any domain name hosted on our servers.
